I am soo excited to Finally be able to travel with Only a Backpack!
I was given an opportunity to check out a Malencutie large capacity backpack. I was impressed when I first received it in the mail. Minimal packaging was used and the bag itself was light. I felt a tad bit nervous that it wasn't going to work but it has yet to let me down!
I was concerned about the light grey color because if it can be stained, broken, dropped, or somehow wreaked no matter how gentle we are - our family can somehow manage it. As of this time I have had no issues with stains, breaks, or other mishaps.
The inner pocket is soo wonderfully useful! I am able to fit a days worth of food, outfits, syringes, and paperwork without having to search for items. The small tall pocket is perfect for the changing pad (which is Awesome by the way!!) and a days worth of diapers. The wipes go on the side in a container that is provided with the bag. This feature is great and I would love it if my wipes didn't dry out. I'm not sure if I need to do something different when I load the wipes - so I just carry a misting bottle so I can get them wet again.
The front smiley pocket is great for the easy to loose things. (Keys... charging cables....)
The smaller front pocket is held closed by two pieces of Velcro which are strong and stable as of this time. I put all medicines, small syringes, masks and other items in here
Opposite of the wipes holder is another zipper pocket. This side I use for emergency meds and the syringes you would use with them. It is the Perfect size pocket for epi-pens (we use the JR size) Benadryl and sterile wipes.
Now on to the fun part!!
My baby is 7 but the size of a 3 year old, so she gets tired easily which means that I need to carry her A Lot. That's were this backpack has come in handy - after I put the backpack on, I slip her legs through the arm straps. Some of her weight is now carried under my arms and I am carrying her with less effort. I Never let go of her because this is not how this backpack was meant to be used, but with common sense I have saved my back in times of long long walks to Dr's appointments.
I have been strictly using this bag for 3 months and still love it and don't dread packing for appointments any longer. The kids like this bag and are happy that they can find the items they are looking for without interrupting me.
This is a definite addition in my books!
